When I was in high school, I always wanted to travel. When I got the chance to go to Spain and backpack through Europe, I couldn't wait. I didn't know that's when I was going to die.
Not die in a traditional sense, mind you. I obviously wouldn't be writing this from beyond the grave. But I am pretty sure I drowned. That's when it happened, that's when everything changed for me.
I never really had much of an opinion about Novas. I suppose like anything, there are good ones and bad ones, and how people choose to use the powers they have says a lot about you. The downside is, there's a lot of innocent people that get caught up in their power struggles, and more often than not people die because of it.
It's what caused my accident, and my current condition. I suppose I was lucky, I survived. I've been laying low trying to figure out what to do. The upside of being able to live underwater is that I don't have a lot of people bothering me, and I'm free to explore my new abilities without much interferance. I suppose when I'm ready I'll find somewhere to belong. Mostly, I want to get the word out that having powers is a wonderful thing, but no one else should have to pay a price when you use them.

Do I live in a bad spy movie?
Cyborg sharks. A nuclear sub. Some douche Russian "hero". It's like no one bothered to tell me that all the stereotypes were true.

I don't mind the cold
I saw dinosaurs. I saw a paradise in the arctic. I saw the most disgusting woman ever. I saw super powered individuals fighting just because they could. Is that what you're supposed to do when you're a Nova? Show off your powers by fighting others like you?
The nice thing about living in the ocean is I don't get a lot of visitors. I don't think I'll have to worry about people diving down and trying to start some shit. And no, that's not a challenge to anyone reading this. If, for some reason, you *do* think this is a challenge just remember: I have homefield advantage. And friends. And I breathe underwater. So just remember that.
